SPACER

Spacers are placed between the two bearings that are needed for each wheel. When a rider tightens the nut on their axle the spacers prevent the bearings from becoming unevenly compressed, this reduces friction and makes for a faster ride. Without spacers wheels tend to bind-up when the axle nut is tightened, because of this we see a lot of people who don’t have spacers riding with loose axle nuts, which makes for a sloppy ride and can be dangerous. Other Planet Skate always recommends using properly sized spacers on your trucks. Proper sizing is important; a spacer that is too narrow from end-to-end is useless and is like having no spacer at all.
